Pecan Pringles (cookies) - from my Grandmother

1 Egg
½ Cup shortening
1 Cup plus 2 TBSP. flour
¾ Cup sugar
½ Tsp. vanilla
¼ Tsp. salt
½ Butter
1 Tsp. Baking soda (stuff in yellow box)
1 Tsp. Cream of tartar
½ Cup chopped pecans

* Cinnamon mixture
1 TBSP. sugar
1 Tsp. Cinnamon

Combine egg, shortening, sugar, vanilla and butter - mix well.

In separate bowl mix flour, soda and cream of tartar.

Add to other ingredients - mix well.

Add pecans.

Roll the dough into walnut size balls.

Make Cinnamon mixture and roll balls in it.

Bake at 400° for about 8-10 minutes.
