Egg Custard Pie

Cups sugar
5
TBSP. flour
6
Eggs
1
Tsp. vanilla
2
Cups milk
either 2 deep dish or 3 shallow pie shells

Mix sugar and flour.In separate bowl beat eggs.Add eggs to flour mixture.Add milk and vanilla and beat well. Pour into unbaked pie shells.Cook on hot for 5 minutes (this is how Granny had it written). I cook it at about 425° for the 5 minutes. BE SURE AND TURN DOWN TEMPERATURE. Reduce heat to 350° and cook till knife comes out clean. (I've found that about 45 minutes does it.)
