Bacon Wrapped Chicken Livers

1 Lb thinly sliced bacon
1 Can (8 oz) water chestnuts
½ Lb chicken livers (about 20)
Ground cloves
Brown sugar

Microwave bacon at HIGH for 1 minute, in the package, until slices separate easily. Divide bacon slices between 4 paper towel line paper plates. Cover with paper towel. Microwave one plate at a time at HIGH for 2½ minutes. Cut each partially cooked slice in half.

Drain and cut each chestnut in half.

Rinse and drain livers. Cut in half.

To assemble, sprinkle bacon strips lightly with ground cloves and brown sugar. Place one piece of liver and one piece of water chestnut at the end of each bacon piece. Roll up securing with a toothpick. Arrange 10 in a circle on each of 4 paper towel lined (1 sheet) paper plates. Cover with paper towel. Microwave one plate at a time at HIGH for 3-4 minutes.
